Hello

My name is Ryan LaRue.

I am an engineering manager at Chatham Financial leading the Platform Capabilites Team: a team focused on building cross-cutting, domain agnostic infrastructure used across our various development teams.

I primarily focus on backend development, with an emphasis on performance, scalability, and security. I've never been a great front-end developer, but I do enjoy working with React and have begun exploring Next.js and SSR - which brings me here: my portfolio site and blog built on Next.js!

Outside of work, I'm an avid climber, hiker, and mountain biker, and I spend as much time as possible outdoors.

I have no idea how much I will actually be blogging, but I hope to use this site to showcase some public work I'm proud of, and any thoughts I might care to share.
